The Nelson Bench you see above is an inspired reproduction of the modern classic designed by George Nelson in 1946. Sleek and modern, there are endless uses for the Nelson Bench; it can be placed in a living room as a coffee table or in a mud room for a place to sit when tying shoes.

I’ve been drooling over this bench for quite some time. I’m obsessed with the mid-century modern look and I’m looking for a low profile piece that can double as a bench or coffee table. This would do the trick! I LOVE it, and I LOVE inmod π
love this style, I would use it in my hall and my kids would no doubt use it as a bridge for their indie legos!
This would be perfect for my backroom for my little visitors to sit down and put on their shoes and it would be so classy~
I’m should be receiving my record player anyday via UPS, This would be a great peice for it to sit on. Plus I could store records in a crate underneath! π
Love, love, love the Nelson bench! I’d use this in my living/dining area to display some of my MCM books and magazines, and for extra seating.
Count me in!!
I have been inspired by the works of George Nelson for many years!
I have 2 great spots for this bench. either at my front door in the foyer next to my console cabinet or in my front room next to the big picture window that has a great view of the park across the street from my second story apartment. π
Pick me! Pick me!!
π
I would pair this with another Nelson Bench and use it as a coffee table…I’ve actually been wanting this exact bench so I would really appreciate it if I’m the lucky winner! Thanks
I would use this as a coffee table, where I would place my laptop and spend my evenings on inmod, feeling grateful!
I love these benches, my parents had one when I was a kid and I totally trashed it pretending it was a surfboard while I was watching TV. I would love to win it to replace my parent’s one all these years later.
I would use this to add beauty and style to my space. It would rest in the entry way, which has a sunny window with beams of light that shine through in the mid afternoon. I have always wanted one, and it would be simply perfect! I would love to win this!
Man, I’ve been a George Nelson lover for forever. I love this bench, love his great pendant lamps, love his clocks… It would look great in my livingroom against the short length of wall that dips out, as extra seating, with basket of musical instruments (shakers, small instruments) on one side of it. ‘Primitive’ wall above, with raku mask, another mask, ‘tree of life’ print, framed cards of raku pieces… Very unfortunately, for me, I’m Canadian and don’t live in the 48 contiguous states. π
I just moved from a craftsman bungalow to a mid-century modern house, and I’m starting over on furniture. Somehow the mission-style tables just don’t work. The bench would be a perfect start.
It would definitely be used in the entry way where guests can remove their shoes before they enter my “no-shoe zone home.” I would probably put a little basket underneath, too which would hold slippers for them to walk aroun in. π
I think it would look great in my bedroom at the foot of my bed π I would love to win this great bench, its so versatile!’ could even use it as a coffee table, extra seating at the dining table, too!
I love this bench. It’s a timeless piece. I am always on the look out for stylish functional furniture that won’t attract every piece of dog and cat hair in my house. I can wear all black and sit down on this bench without having to de-fuzz myself, just like i can sit in my Eames chair!
I want to put plants all over it…succulents and orchids…I’ve got a beautiful green orchid right now that would look stunning…
Love this site! The Nelson bench would be perfect just inside the door to the patio, feet away from the Nelson saucer lamp already hanging over my dining room table!
Well. What can I say? I love this bench. I’ve always wanted to have one, but I guess, I had other priorities.
Hopefully I can get one and put it to good use. Hey, there is some available space next to my LCW!
My apartment is badly in need of a makeover. This piece would serve as the inspiration for me to start on this project. I would probably use it the entry way or at the foot of my bed with a few classy cushions on top!
That would go perfect in my back patio!
This bench is perfect for my NEW house entry area! Great design!
I love this bench i would it in the hallway it would be so cute.
Just bought a neat little (and I do mean little!) mid-century modern home. This would be wonderful to put both a simple white orchid and the perfect dry martini on when we finally move in! Love it!
I want it in my entryway so it’s the first thing people see when they come in the house!
I would use it in my design studio in front of my couch to stack my sketches on.
we have a office/creative room where i also use to paint & draw. the room is inspiring & rich and painted in a deep purple color. the room has a few mid-century modern pieces (eames lcw, eames ny times stools). i would love to add the george nelson bench to the room and continue decorating in the mid-century modern theme. absolutely love the design!
I would put this bench in front of a window so I have a place to watch the snow fall, and my rabbits would nap under it.
Ok, my hubby says that if I won, I think I would be hot snot on a silver platter, but in reality I would be cold buggers on a paper plate… I guess I’d rather be a bugger with a cool coffee table than a hot snot without one!
I’d put this along a wall of south-facing windows in my living room in between two vintage Eames shell chairs, making it the perfect place to sit with a cup of coffee and a good book, or a loved one and a glass of wine.
I would use it as my coffee table.
It would look very slick in my leisure room, but I’d likely use it as a bench at the foot of my bed, or in the foyer to change my shoes when I come home.
