Pantone’s 2013 Color of the Year

Have you heard the news? Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2013 is Emerald!

In a press release announcing the color, Pantone describes emerald as a “vivid, verdant green,” one that “enhances our sense of well-being further by inspiring insight, as well as promoting balance and harmony.”

As emerald is most commonly related to gemstones, emerald in interiors and fashion is compared to the luxurious and rejuvenating vibe exhibited by the gemstones, and how it will translate into the two genres. You can read the full press release here.
