Pushing up daisies – and roses, and cacti…

I have a confession to make: I have a black thumb. No plant that has ever crossed my path has made it out alive. Believe me, I have the best intentions! I even rescued friends’ wilted houseplants, with the goal of nursing them back to health. Instead, I was their angel of death, putting them out of their misery disturbingly quickly. I even killed a cactus once. I think I may have overwatered it. Oh, the shame.

So, what is a plant lover to do? Since potted plants quiver in fear when I approach, I stick to the non-living variety these days. Luckily, I can take my pick, because the choices are seemingly endless, just like with the real things. In this case, I can admire these lovely wall sticker cacti without fear of either killing them, or impaling myself. How about you? Do you have any plant horror stories?
