Inmod Attends “NY NOW” Trade Show

We at Inmod just attended the “NY Now” trade show this week, located at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City. This market hosts 2,800 companies showcasing the very best lines across the home, lifestyle and gift spectrum. There is literally nothing you can’t find at this show, with products ranging from fire pits to taxidermy to hand embellished pillows. Our team managed to walk through the majority of the “NY Now” floor and speak with multiple vendors about their products. Over the next few days, I’d like to call out a few of our personal favorites at the show.

Fire Pit Art is a company located in Nashville, Tennessee with designs created by artist Rick Wittrig. When a fire pit that was store bought fell apart in his yard, it resulted in chaos with his five year old daughter around at the time, and at that moment, he decided to create his own fire pits. This company creates beautifully handcrafted steel fire pits in all different unique shapes and sizes that will last a lifetime. My personal favorite is the globe fire pit named “Third Rock”, but I would be stoked to have any of their pieces.

Here’s also a cool video of Rick Wittrig telling his story of how Fire Pit Art was born.

WIK, a brand introduced by LeeLABS in D.U.M.B.O. Brooklyn, New York uses fabrication and traditional craft to make unique objects. Their studio creates objects made of polished concrete, raw concrete, corian, hardwoods, and cast metal.

What caught our eye at the show were their concrete clocks, in interesting architectural shapes and multiple sizes. These concrete clocks are about 5/8” thick and are made of lightweight concrete mix, weighing between 1-3 lbs.
