I needed some blog writing, life affirming inspiration, and when my friend sent me photos of this tea table, I knew I’d found it. The artist’s intention, I believe, is to show the effects our actions have on others. The ripples created when the teacup is placed in the saucer beautifully and profoundly represent this. The waves we create, even by our tiniest decisions, reverberate out into the world. Do we want our actions to cause harm, or healing? The symbolism of this table would add another entire dimension to a formal tea ceremony.
